@ Kesa – Thanks! Weekend Hussler sure did win with authority didnt he. I can’t wait for him to run in the 2008 Cox Plate, the way he can sit on the pace or just off it…. with his run of foot, and ability to sustain his run; how will anything be able to match him

@ Ian – Thanks also Ian!! Too right , that run has put a big cloud over Light Fantastic’s preparation, and ability to run past 1400 metres hasn’t it? He just didn’t finish the race off at all.

Efficient… haha; well i just don’t know what to make of this fella. After all… he was the ‘Stayer of the Year 2007″ haha

Hi,

Great website and what a great win by Weekend Hussler, he really did put the opposition to the sword.

Light Fantastic just could not go with the pace when the heat came. It was also interesting to see Weekend Hussler race on pace in this also, normally sits just off the pace.

The other horse I noted in this race was Efficient, he did similar last year in the Dato Tan Chin Nam Stakes over 1600m finishing 4th behind El Segundo, Hardadasun and Cinque Cento, then fell off the rails before taking out the Melbourne Cup. He had better not be on the same path with the same result this year!

Great website, great run by the Hussler, can’t knock him winning with so much authority, will be interesting to see if he runs in both the Cox Plate and Caulfield Cups, personally I am thinking the Cox Plate, will know soon enough I guess..
