Hey Nathan,
Thanks for stopping by. Totally agree with everything you’ve said there… i would have had my money on Youthful Jack too (he’s an old mate of mine
but he hasnt made the final field.
The weather’s looking pretty ordinary here in Brisbane… we’ll see how it plays out over the next few days…

Hi there,
This race comes down to the track. Horses like Ortensia, All Silent, Forensics, Light Fantastic, Marasco, Solo Flyer, Duporth, Absolut Glam are all hoping for a dry track, if it’s wet they all lose a few lengths.
If it is wet, there’s a couple that stand out, Black Piranha ran a bottler in the Doomben 10,000 and he drops down to 53.5kg in this, he is in unbelievable form and is unlucky not to have 3 group ones to his name this preparation, he could of even been unbeaten as he had terrible luck in the Canterbury Stakes too.
Another is Youthful Jack who swims in the wet and drops 5.5kg off his last start listed win and only carries 50.5kg on Saturday. Surely people can’t write him off after that Royal Sovereign Stakes win when he ran away from them by + 3 lengths. The last start jockey change when Thompson jumped off him and Corey Brown jumped on may of been a blessing in disguise as the horse needed some sort of change.
