MSIT Student Designer Fashions on the Field 2011
Sponsored by Hardy Brothers Jewelers & David Jones, the MSIT Student Designer Fashions on the Field took place at Doomben on BTC Cup day (Saturday 14th May 2011) – the day of Black Caviar’s first ever appearance in Queensland.
8 MSIT fashion students from all over South-East Qld designed race-day outfits, in an effort to win the best design award, prizes, and of course the recognition that comes with taking out such an event. A real kick start for a young aspiring designer.
Designs were assessed for their innovation and creativity, uniqueness and relevance to the category of racewear. Designs had to include headwear.
Education Manager for Fashion Elizabeth Reynolds was joined on the judging panel by Brisbane stylist Di Cant and Westfield stylist Sara Hatten-Masterson. The general feeling, was that the judges made the right decision in awarding the winner.
The MSIT Student Designer Fashions on the Field was taken out by the talented REBEKAH WALL – a popular choice with those we spoke to.
