Morphettville Races

The absolute heart of racing in South Australia, the Morphettville Races in Adelaide, is a fantastic racing venue and the only metropolitan racecourse in the state.

The Morphettville raceclub operates over 2 tracks, Morphettville and the Morphettville Parks (which operates inside of the course proper of Morphettville), effectively 2 tracks in one venue. This came about in 2000 when Cheltenham racecourse was closed by the SAJC.

During the Adelaide Autumn Racing Carnival each year, Morphettville plays host to 4 group one races, over 3 stunning days of racing. They are the Goodwood Handicap, Robert Sangster Stakes, Australasian Oaks & the SA Derby, which combine to bring the Autumn racing carnival to an end across the country.
