• The latest ODDS AT ASCOT – Sportsbet
Located only 8km East form the city centre of Perth, the Ascot Races is Western Australia’s premier racing venue, and the home of thoroughbred racing in WA. Each year towards the end of the Spring Carnival, the Perth racing scene heats up as Ascot hosts 4 group one races; capping off the Group 1 racing for the year across the country.
It’s during this time that there’s an influx of visitors from the Eastern states, chasing the large prize money on offer. If you’re visiting during this time, it’s recommended booking one of the many Perth hotels well in advance, as hotel accommodation in the Perth CBD area has been known to book up very quickly.
This page will be updated with current race events at Ascot – information on nominations, fields, barriers, weights and betting odds at Ascot. Racing at Ascot doesn’t really get the acknowledgement of it’s Eastern cousins; but the standard of racing is high, especially on weekend metropolitan meetings. An Ascot saturday race is now worth $32k to the winner, and midweek field numbers are high, which is having a positive effect on the industry.
The Ascot Racetrack sees the running of 4 group one races annually; the Winterbottom Stakes, Kingston Town Classic, WA Derby and the Railway Stakes newly promoted from group 2 status. Those pages will be kept up to date will all the lastest field and betting odds, as they become available.
