Sunline was one of the greatest mares of the late 90’s, who’s trademark gutsy finishes and blistering speed saw her dominate numerous Group One Races. She was able to prove the critics wrong with her amazing versatility, and ability to step up from the sprint and middle distance races; to go on and win races like The All-Aged Stakes (1600m), and to come a narrow second to the great Northerly, in the 2001 Cox Plate over 2040m; one of Australia’s most distinguished races (1600m)
