Raced over a grueling 2400 metres at Caulfield, the Caulfield Cup is one of Victoria’s and Australia’s toughest handicap races. Traditionally seen as a strong pointer towards the Melbourne Cup, the Caulfield Cup along with the Cox Plate, are Australia’s 3 richest and most prestigious races.

Some notable winners of the Caulfield Cup from recent history are Northerly, Mummify, Might And Power; and northern invader ‘All The Good’ in The 2008 Caulfield Cup. The race is open to three year old horses and upwards, and is a straight qualification to the Melbourne Cup.
