The 2017 Cox Plate is arguably Australia’s most prestigious race, taking place every year at Moonee Valley during the Spring Carnival in Melbourne. This years race takes place on Saturday October 28th, the day after the Manikato Stakes.

The Cox Plate is wedged in between Australia’s two other premier races (the Caulfield Cup and the Melbourne Cup), and is a true staying test raced over 2040 metres. Without doubt Australia’s premier WFA (weight for age) race, the Cox Plate year in year out attracts the cream of Australia and international racing talent.
