The Cox Plate is perhaps Australia’s most prestigious thoroughbred horse race, raced every year between the Spring Carnivals two other big races, the Caulfield Cup and The Melbourne Cup. Raced over 2040 metres at Melbourne’s much loved Moonee Valley Racetrack, the Cox plate is without doubt Australia’s premier WFA (weight for age) race, attracting the cream of Australia’s racing stocks.
