We have already heard of last years boom 3yr old Whobegotyou being touted as an early possible favourite, after his promising but unlucky runs in this years Doncaster Mile. Will he be up to the challenge to win this years Cox Plate, or will last years Cox Plate winner Maldivian, again run them off their legs? Time will tell…

A New Zealand horse name MacO’Reilly should be in a great spot for this race! He is a proven winner at this distance and the Aussie tracks will suit him very very well
Agree. MacO’Reilly dual gp 1 winner gp 2 winner and I believe broke trake record over 2000 m never been beaten over 2000m good to see him in the noms

NO WAY should Whobegotyou be $6 fav this far out in the 2009 Cox Plate betting. He is one of the top fancies… but that is a bit stiff geez.
How good was old El Segundo’s first up with 63kg in the Auries Star at Flemington! I bet that gets a few punters attention- i see he is in to $12 now already.
