The 2011 Golden Rose is a Group 1 three year old race over 1400m at Rosehill. The race marks the start of the Spring Carnival in Sydney, and is worth a massive $1 million in prize-money, making it the primary target for many trainers. At set weights the Golden Rose is usually a great betting race, with many horses at different stages of their preparations heading into the Spring Carnival.
