Taking place early in the Spring Carnival, the 2011 Manikato Stakes is a Group 1 WFA race, over 1200m at Moonee Valley. MV is a unique racing venue, especially under lights; so with its tight bends, the 1200m start usually ensures a hot pace. The Manikato has been won by some of Australia’s best sprinters, and year after year attracts a world class field.
