The TJ Smith Stakes is a Group 1 WFA 1200m race, held at Randwick during the Autumn carnival in Sydney on the same day as the Doncaster Mile and the Sires Produce. Worth a total of $1 million in prizemoney, the TJ Smith is often the final Autumn Carnival target for many sprinters before they spell prior to the upcoming Spring Carnival. Others may go on to compete in the Stradbroke Handicap & Doomben 10,000 in Brisbane during the Winter Carnival.
