Ironically Doomben is located directly next door to the Eagle Farm racecourse, which it has been amalgamated with to create the Brisbane Racing Club (BRC).
Generally the first race at Doomben will start between 11:45am & 12:30pm, with usually 8 races throughout the day, around 40 minutes apart. There’s an average of 46 Doomben race meetings per year, consisting of 24 Saturdays, 2 public holidays, and 20 midweek meetings. With the upgrade of Eagle Farm over recent years this number has swelled, but he track surface seems to be handling the extra traffic quite well.
The Doomben Racecouse is located just only 7km from the Brisbane CBD, and 5.5km from the Brisbane Airport at 75 Hampden St, Ascot Queensland.
